Kanye West - Power (Ft. Dwele)
Kanye is rapping again! Also, this has the most knocking-est drums I’ve heard on a Ye track. Vocals could be turned up a bit, but I’ll take it.
Estelle - Fall In Love (Ft. Nas)
Nas, famous sucker for love, jumps on a breezy attempt by Estelle to recreate some “American Boy” success this summer. I hope he recorded this before getting divorced and subsequently fucked over by the American judicial system and one evil bitch.
Drake - Light Up (Ft. Jay-Z)
Somehow, a person named Ace Burpee of the Winnipeg Free Press said Drake claimed this to be Jay-Z’s best verse ever at a listening session. That blog post has been subsequently pulled because it sounds like absolute bullshit.
Jay sounds a bit angry again as he discards any criticism of his paper chase, even as he readily admits that’s all he has left. The older this dude gets, the more annoying he comes off. If he’s as removed from the rap world (“don’t pay the same taxes”) as he so readily tells listeners, then why bother complaining about them? Just STFU and enjoy your money already!
Drake doesn’t really matter on this song.
Akon - I’m So Paid (Ft. Young Jeezy, Lil’ Wayne)
Living in Manhattan has made this the most inspirational song to me. $$$ y’all.
Max B & Young Riot - Living the Life (Ft. Curren$y)
Max B is one of those dudes that make better comedian/host rather than a musician. Singing every word as the same note does not make a memorable melody. Luckily Curren$y comes through with a dope flow that isn’t as spacey (read: off-beat) as his recent shit.
I doubt very many of my friends are going to like this haha.

This 7-track mini-mixtape is a smooth ass banger for the summer. And its FREE!

Drake ft. Young Jeezy - Unforgettable
Thank Me Later is shaping up to be a monster of an album. And of course Jeezy killed this shit.
Hiroki is a hero of mine, if for no reason other than the fact he does exactly what he loves to do. Visvim is a clear extension of Hiroki’s personality and it is inspiring to see someone put together a brand/business/product that resonates while maintaining the founder’s soul and integrity.
Fun fact: the now-classic FBT model started from an idea from HF. Of cooouuuurse they did.
Fuck this shit:
“Let’s say you manage a highly leveraged, diversified investment fund, and have become so skilled at playing the markets that you have a 70 percent probability of making money any given trading day. This would be a remarkable achievement in most markets. The odds that you would post a daily net gain 63 times in a row, though, would be about one in 5.7 billion. The formula for calculating this is: 1/(0.70 to the 63rd power).
Even if you had a 95 percent likelihood of a winning day, you would have only a 3.9 percent chance of doing it 63 trading sessions in a row.”
